Cycling

We can keep more than 20 bikes in our well-secured bike shed. For smaller repair jobs on your bike we can provide you with a workshop and the most important materials. For those not traveingl with their own bike we provide bike and e-bike rentals.

If you require more or other bikes we like to refer you to a lcoal bike rental shop. We also cooperate with a bicycle repair shop in Lübbenau. There is going to be a fix even if a major repair should be necessary or your bike broke down on the road and needs to be picked up.

Due to its favorable location in the SPREE.Hotel in der Altstadt is perfectly as a stop between two stages or as a starting point for cycling tours and day trips around Lübbenau.

Various guided tours with different goals like the cucumber bike ride, the craft tour or the Stork Tour or even the trip to the Wotschofska Island are offered in town. Of course, you can also go off on your own. We are happy to provide you with tips and of course maps on interesting routes for casual cycling in the Spreewald.

The cycle network in the region is well developed, and for e-bikes there are battery exchange stations everywhere. The largely flat terrain is also suitable for younger or older cyclists for the more ambitious cyclists you can do attractive long-distance rides. Lübbenau and the village Lehde

are part of the track of the famous “Gurkenradweg” which can be cycled in longer or shorter sections according to your mood, time and condition. The ” Spreeradweg”, the “Fürst-Pückler-Weg”, the CraneTour and the “Niederlausitzer Mining Tour” lead over Lübbenau. The 4-star bike path tour Brandenburg with more than 1,000 kilometers one of the longest cycle routes in Germany iss a bit of a detour from the routebut it will definitely be worth it to relax at the SPREE.Hotel in der Altstadt and taking a boat ride for a change is an absolute must.
